Rap Fest Tribute

As the New York City summer approached in 2014, many were getting ready for the summer festivities. However, many were shocked when they heard that the organizers of the monumental Rap Fest event, announced that they were retiring the event for good.

Rap Fest, founded by Bert Bocachica, started as a small outreach event and grew to be one of the biggest Christian Hip Hop events in the nation.  Rap Fest was a platform for up and coming Christian rap artists and also featured some of the leading artists in the nation! More than just a Christian rap showcase, Rap Fest was an evangelistic mission that touched many lives.

The organizers of the Kingdom Choice Awards felt that the retirement of such an iconic event was too abrupt and deserved an official farewell. So at this years ceremony, the Kingdom Choice Awards will salute Rap Fest with an official farewell tribute in honor of the massive contribution it has made to the Christian Hip Hop culture/ministry. Kingdom Choice CEO Marcus Hall said “This will be a special and exciting tribute. We’re working on something very special, we want it to be epic and real”
